One of the hardest things to do effectively in life is to communicate. This is true for many in their relationships, at work, with family, strangers, etc. To do it well requires navigating through emotions, great listening skills, and equal amounts of patience and clear articulation. The struggle to communicate can also affect negatively impact your professional life or career. Most of these issues arise from not clearly defining your personal brand. How do you really tell people who you and what you represent? How can you get them to really see the value you have and realize their need for it?
One of the easiest ways to cut through some of this communication “red tape” is to first realize that successful communication is a true art form. And for the person trying to lead that conversation–you the service-based entrepreneur or business Woman– it’s so important to lead with confidence and your own unique style.
One thing is absolutely true is that we all communicate differently and, although that can get really sticky at times, that is your truest advantage. And if you dig deep enough you’ll realize that once you’ve really tapped into your own style of communication, you’ve really tapped into your “Brand Communication Superpower”. You become unstoppable when you own and use these special powers. You may be wondering, “how does one really uncover their Brand Communication superpowers?”
To communicate your brand effectively you’ll need to be well versed in knowing what they are and using them wisely. They are…
–The power of your Brand Story– Story is everything and it is a universal language. Your unique story is what sets you apart from anyone on the planet. No one shares the identical experience, insights, thoughts, etc. This is an excellent tool to use in growing your brand. Extrapolating the theme of your story can be a heavy task but working directly with a coach can help you pen it.
–Your own unique Brand Language– No two people communicate the same. Everyone has their own unique Brand language, just most don’t know how to identify or express with it. Communicating in this unique way is what will attract more people to you and your product or service. I offer a special assessment to my clients to help show them 2 of their most appealing traits that most everyone notices about them. This allows them to use this information to market themselves to others and increase their appeal.
–Your uniquely cultivated Brand Message– What message do you have to deliver that will communicate your value and gain you the influence and compensation that you desire? Hint–Oftentimes your Brand Message can come from your Brand story. This is the most CRITICAL piece as it becomes the reason you will develop a tribe who wants to connect with you—esepecially if your message is crafted right and strategically.
These are just 3 of several Brand Communication tools each of us possesses but they are the MOST IMPORTANT if you want your brand to thrive and to grow. If you don’t have a developed strategy for all 3 of these areas then you are handicapping yourself and your goals without likely even realizing.
