Have the last few months left you feeling less like yourself? The COVID-19 Pandemic has shaken up so many and filled their hearts with uncertainty. So many have experienced challenging shifts in their professions, businesses, home life, and financial stability. It has hurt my heart to see so many people negatively impacted. On top of that racial tensions and inequality have been disturbing. As an African American woman, I have endured my own challenges with racial prejudice but the current happenings have been so disheartening. How have you been directly or indirectly affected by these situations? Perhaps for you–maybe you felt off track long before. Maybe it’s been years for you now. No matter what your specific case, life can make us feel like we have either “fallen off of your horse”– or “have been thrown off your horse”. Whether you’ve fallen into laziness or neglectful habits (aka fallen off) or was dealt an unsuspecting blow such as loss of clients or income (aka thrown off) both can negatively impact your business, I want to ensure you that you don’t have to stay flat on your back and in the dirt. I want to extend a hand to you to pull you back up and brush you off. Now isn’t the time for ridicule, hard judgment, or blame on yourself. It doesn’t matter how you fell off of your horse, the more important issue is getting you back on there.
If you have had some business struggles or business neglect I want to ensure you trust me and know that I understand. Personally, I must be honest and say for a while “I fell off of my horse”. I have not maintained consistent email contact with many of you and I have missed interacting. In all of my efforts to maintain coaching clients which had doubled the last couple of months, I fell short in growing and connecting with you and the other wonderful ladies on my email list. Although, I was doing most of my interactions with my amazing, and engaging FB group–Women with Brilliant Brands and Strong Mindsets (please join us btw- click the link) I just let my emailing it slip through the cracks. Needless to say, I’ve felt a bit guilty about it and I first wanted to offer you a personal apology if you haven’t seen me in a while. It wasn’t intentional. I’m back on track and it’s nice to be reconnecting with you on a consistent basis moving forward.
What’s nice is I remember a time when I would have beat myself up endlessly for “failing”. I would’ve only being fixated on what “balls I dropped” versus all of the successes or wins I had–such as the 8 amazing women who graduated from my Brand Brilliance to S.H.I.N.E. coaching program recently. In the past, perfectionism and self-criticism always seemed to have the last word and it would take days and weeks to shake off the feeling of being a failure. You can’t be your best confident self at this stage. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Are you ready for a change?
Maybe you’re in a similar place right now. How have the last few weeks and months been for you? Do you feel weighed down by struggles with fear, self-doubt, and overwhelm? Do you struggle to connect with your clients or gain new ones? Are you in a place where you need to reinvent yourself or tap into your other strengths? Or are you confused about who you or what value you bring to your business arena? Well if you are struggling I want to let you know that you aren’t the only one. I have been working with many of my clients who have been struggling through the very same thing. I’ve been working with them to help them reaffirm their value to find other ways to monetize their strengths and gifts, look for other ways to market themselves, evaluate their energy management to keep them from burnout, etc. I want to encourage you to hang in there and I specifically want you to know that this month’s theme will focus on helping you have a Mindset Reset: Shifting from fearful to your fearless next steps. We know that during the most challenging times fear will try to overwhelm you. We’ll examine the following:
-the sneaky ways fear will show up to try and sabotage your business
-how you can push through despite the challenges you face (and reenergize yourself)
-how to revamp your Unique value proposition so you can showcase your HIGHEST Value and get back to engaging and acquiring new clients to increase your revenue.
